If you've had juice from The Big Carrot Natural Food Market in Toronto recently, you might want to get a hepatitis A shot.
Toronto Public Health said people who've had fresh juice at The Big Carrot on Danforth Avenue between March 17 and April 2 may have been exposed to hepatitis A.
"While the risk is low, individuals who consumed fresh organic juice from this food market during these dates should get a hepatitis A vaccination as soon as possible," the agency said in a news release.
An employee at the juice bar has a confirmed case of the infection, according to Toronto Public Health.
The agency is holding a free hepatitis A vaccine clinic from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the East York Civic Centre for those who might have had fresh juice between those dates.
The hepatitis A vaccine is most effective when received within 14 days of exposure.
Toronto Public Health is also asking people to monitor for signs and symptoms of hepatitis A, practice thorough hand washing and contact their health care provider if they're concerned.
